OUR VISION 

Stable isotope analysis is a powerful tool over a wide range of scientific disciplines including geosciences, microbiology, chemistry, soil science, physiology, and other areas. Yet, effective stable isotope analysis requires highly specialized equipment, exacting sample preparation and analysis techniques, and specialized standard materials which make it infeasible to establish this capability in individual labs across the campus. The vision of the MSU light stable isotope core facility is to provide the needed instrumentation, supporting capabilities, and staff expertise to assist experimental design, provide analytical measurements, and contribute to data interpretation to help ensure success of the larger MSU research enterprise. In short, we strive to be a resource for you, to provide the expertise and analytical facilities needed to meet your research needs in stable isotope analysis.
